I have a Ross Barnett story to tell you. It happened i believe in 1965. Some free speech group invited Ross to speak at my alma mada, City College of NY which was in the middle of Harlem, USA. CCNY back then was a top 10 school academically in the country and students came out to protest the visit. I was standing at a distance watching the Governor who was getting out of his car to go inside to speak. Someone had brought tomatoes. I had a great arm but he was quite a distance away. So I threw a high arching shot and next i new the governor was splattered with a tomato. Others were throwing at the same time but i sort of watched mine go up and come down and to this day i am convinced that it was mine who hit ole ross in the noggin.
