Dell's problems have been coming for a couple quarters now, because they should've adopted AMD earlier. However, having NOT done so, there's little reason to do so NOW, with Intel about to retake the lead (both perf AND perf/W) in many segments.

Regarding the Woodcrest FBDIMM thing, I haven't been following it too closely. Isn't there a chipset that allows DDR2? Does it have some other disadvantages?
