The Croy poem is just plain gruesome. It sounds like something from the early days of this country-----although we have equal amount of gruesomeness worldwide as witnessed since 9/11.

Well written.

Have a good weekend------will check the poetry corner next week.

ManyMoose, good links to good stuff!

Hank Snow did a good job on his recitation of 'Dangerous Dan McGrew." He did another similar recitation about an Alaskan goldminer who promised to bury another prospector where ever he died. I have no idea who the original author was.

Some of the very best (IMO) cowboy poetry is set to song and sung by Don Edwards in his album, "Saddle Songs."
