Depends on the statistics you are looking at... I understand there is some dispute about that claim.

(I doubt anyone would disagree with the proposition though, that the extra time and attention parents put into the educational process, the personal attention and involvement, associated with most home schooling situations, produces beneficial results. It's difficult to compare apples and oranges though.)
