As I understand it, this is how it works. They amass a record of all the calls each and every phone number makes, IF they later determine one of those phone numbers is to a KNOWN Al Quida operative overseas THEN they go back and review ALL the phone calls THAT number makes. The purpose is to FERRET OUT the NETWORK here in the USA. Wouldnt it have been NICE if we had KNOWN about the terrorists planning 9/11 and could have traced their calls among each other? jdn
