The fact that we are discussing this issue intelligently augurs well for the future. Right now 2/3 of the american people according to a CNN poll i saw this morning want to err on the side of safety and security. When the war is over the pendelum swings back as it always has before. In case you havent noticed there are no Japanese Americans living in camps anymore. (g). This tradeoff always existed and always will. The magic of the US is that we always go back to balance post war. We have enough folks out there to yap about this that i am confident this phenomena will not change.
