Drilling? Anywhere but wildlife preserves, wilderness preserves, wetlands, marine preserves and other environmentally or economically sensitive areas.

Remember, oil drilling does create pollution and major accidents. The Exxon Valdez was one of the greatest tragedies of that decade and Exxon has avoided accountability for it. That area where the Valdez spilled is the #1 salmon breeding ground in the world. They badly damaged it.

This pipeline explosion in Nigeria is another example. And the oilslick on the beaches of Santa Barbara in the 60's.

The sooner we get off oil the better, but in the meantime we have to be very careful about where we drill. And don't believe the Ker-Mcgee commercials. When they drill they decimate the environment around them, they do not leave small footprints. Their entire PR spin on ANWR is a big lie. Bushies are busy dismantling every environmental protection law on the books. And they don't want to pay taxes of fees either, so they are basically just getting a free ride.
