The Celestine Prophecy, another work of fiction that was taken waaay too seriously by the reality-impaired, had its heyday and faded. Da Vinci Code is just another passing fad. Nothing to see here.

The book as a whole reads like a comic book, the depiction of Opus Dei is especially comic bookish.

I know a guy who is in Opus Dei, he's one of the kindest gentlemen I've ever known. It's highly amusing that Dan Brown thinks these people are scary.
