I remembered that the bookmark totals don't reflect the number of active bookmarks since SI did its reactivation in 2004. Some of these totals may be inflated by members who haven't been active in a few years.

Unfortunately only the most bookmarked threads appear on the list where we can see the difference between gross bookmarks (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/topsubjectmarks.aspx?sort=1) and active bookmarks (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/topsubjectmarks.aspx?sort=2).

None of these threads cracks the list of most popular threads on SI, which tells us something on its own.

how did you determine political threads? some are very political but under a heading that alleges a different message. for example mish thread is most politics and left. bill lindy thread is perhaps 70% right.

strange none of those listed are on my bookmarks.. I bet they are not fair and balanced. ggg
