I never said Clinton was beyond reproach. I never met a person who was. But he was a great president. Why do you think cox inserted that piece about clinton? It sure as hell didn't have anything to do with the subject at hand. Clinton lied almost as much as bush, but if one does not lie in the US one does not get elected to dog catcher. Our public demands lying. We do not even see it as lying anymore. We call it spin! I think it is terrible myself.

And the previous week Cox called Lou Dobbs a demigod.

True believer-lol? If I were a true believer I would have voted for Lyndon Johnson who I despised. If you are referring to my assessment with regard to liberal vs conservative thinking, then yes, I come down solidly with the liberal thinking.

But I like to think it is the result of critical thinking, not my blindly believing in some dogma.

I am always amazed that the conservative's never get tagged with the list of issues I put forth. The conservative position on those issues pretty much tells the story, don't you think??

Would you want to defend any of those conservative positions? Or argue I got any of them wrong? 1964 the conservatives filabustered for 14 days to prevent integration. Doesn't that tell the whole story pretty much. And now the south votes as one huge conservative block. Todays integration issue, is the gay marriage issue. Conservative's never quite get it.

Last, history has been much kinder to the liberal thinker's of the day than the conservative thinker's (becasue conservatives by their very nature are usually voicing one form of dogma or another); and most of the sucessful and free countries today are run by liberals, not conservatives.

If you feel I got somemthing wrong here I sure would like to hear it.

As far as getting rich on Bush's mistakes. True, except the aisan demand story was going to happen no matter who is president.
