Historically most plane hijackings have turned out OK for most of the hostages

Historically, the paradigm for hijackers was to attract media attention to a political cause, not cause destruction.

If you don't adjust to changed circumstances, you are likely to end up dead.

I quit flying because it's intolerable. I'm not afraid of hijackers. However, if I saw one I would act.

This is one of the tragedies of the commons: Since "Hi, Jack" and "hijack" are homophones while aircraft are very vulnerable to any breaches to safety and security, this pronunciation is now widely regarded as a serious taboo in more airports. Los Angeles International Airport has reminded people not to say "Hi, Jack" or "Hey, Jack", but "Hello, Jack" is no problem.

Interesting to see where the majority of hijackers are from in the world.....There seems to be a pattern there...

If fighting hijackers becomes the new norm, I may quit flying.

Query: How many hijackings of aircraft have there been since 9/11/2001?
