Your original statement was overstated. There are many other causes. For example, the fact that the richest country in the world shares a large border with a third world country and that there is so much more opportunity here. Kennedy had nothing to do with that. So while I may agree with you that our immigration policy (which was passed by many others in addition to Kennedy) has made the problem worse, it is incorrect to say that Kennedy is the cause of the problem. He doesn't have that much power. You already know that. But it won't stop you from demonizing someone you don't like, even if your demonization is stated falsely.
