Mauricio Hochschild are a Peruvian company I believe and have been pursuing an expansionary tack lately. They produce somewhere around 100,000+ ozs au and 10mil ozs+ of silver annuallY. I do not know much about them at all but like you, I have heard they are competent and in an expansionary mood. They certainly are not pumping out the information on the La Virgen JV with AUN. I did not buy Aun for that project, I bought for the Reyna deal. I am not thrilled by 1 meter vein intercepts at 400m depths. The fact that the silver content is increasing substantially at depth may be geologically significant but I do not see much of an immediate driver of the stock in that prospect. Considering the historical work done on the Reyna property by Penoles, the existing infrastructure and the immediacy of the deal down to get hold of it and you HAVE TO ASSUME the Reyna property is the superior one. As for playing in the right league, I think that is what I am doing buying Aun. Look into those directors and their affiliations. Netolitzky, who was a part of finding the Eskay Creek and Snip deposits, is drilling off a deposit with Golden Band is onto a monster with Viceroy. That is usually enough for me if Netolitsky is involved but there is also McCluskey, who just brought a Mexican mine into production with Alamos, worked with Miramar and Queenstake and shares extensive exploration resumes withh all the other directors with one exception. Here is the company builder, from the News of February 03/06: "Reyna is a private Mexican mining group focused on the acquisition and development of mining projects in Mexico. Reyna's principals consist of mining engineers and geologists and have worked for some of Mexico's largest mining companies. In addition to their mine development and operational skills the principals of Reyna have put together a property portfolio in Mexico that would be available to Aurcana to complement this acquisition." So, Reyna has access to capital markets through Aun's stock listing and they get all the advatages of issuing paper to insiders plus they all get to be an operational mine in a matter of months and then go find another one!!
