LBJ was Texan oil, Halliburton, rightwing but one of the last of the great Dixiecrats, a breed who followed John Connelly into the great industrial-military racist GOP. LBJ was not all bad, but he was corrupted by the same virus Bush-Cheney are. Profiteering off war and oil. Nowadays LBJ would be a Bush Republican. Lying to get us into quagmire wars isn't something democrats would ever do to their country. LBJ's biggest corporate ally was Brown + Root, now known as Halliburton. The biggest profiteer of the Vietnam and Iraq War. Two wars both based on lies. Two wars which both crippled the American military. Two wars which were waged for no good reason.
