I'm not really that much of a soccer fan, but the World Cup atmosphere was great. People from all over the planet converging on one location to cheer for their team, and its a much better spectator sport - especially from the bars - than the events in the Olympics (if you ask me). I would go to Germany for a week if I could this year, but work precludes it.

Soccer is healthy, because you run constantly. As a spectator sport, it's a little more interesting than watching paint dry. The scores are truly thrilling!

God gave man arms terminated by hands capped by marvelous fingers and truly wonderous opposable thumbs. Soccer bans using any of these, but allows using the head - not exactly the tool of choice. Was the creator of soccer retarded, or just a sadist? Whoever it was, he BANNED the use of the appendages most adapted for playing ball.
