I read a favorable article about Judge Roberts recently but forget where.. Good pick but always thought so...

Looks like Roberts was a good pick by Bush; not to everyone's taste ideologically, of course, but doing a good job according to a nonpartisan media source:

Certainly not to my political preferences but, judged against his predecessor, it's much better. Strange that an article such as this doesn't make that comparison clear. His predecessor just disappears in a wave of "Roberts is better . . ."
