My son actually de facto spent almost 3 years actively looking for a job while mailing 100s of CVs until he finally got his first at Apple computer in 2004. All of that in the wake of 9/11. He didn't quite waste that time though, but first went to college in Spain and in Havana to learn Spanish on top of his other languages and after that added another complementary college degree to his master in economics. A lot of highly qualified and ready to "work hard" young people had the same experience back then. Taro
