The majority of the Americans are scared shit because of the 9/11 attacks and would be willing to give up everything including their civil liberties to ensure that they would not have to confront violence. WWII gave Europeans a first hand experience of what violence can do. They fought back violence with violence. I hope the American people will soon wake up and decide to do the same while at the same time defending their basic values, which in the first place has made them the envy of groups like Al Qaeda etc. Next time the Bushies cry boogie man, I hope the Americans will tell him to go fly a kite.
