When you have record deficits, a portion of the money you're printing is going to come back to the treasury in the form of taxes.

I'm not against tax cuts, per se, and I do believe they can be a tool for stimulus. But we can't spend ourselves into prosperity, especially when the spending is on war. If you believe that then you are nuts.

Kennedy was able to sucessfully cut taxes because the cost of the Korean War had been essentially paid. Expenses were down.

Reagan's tax cut caused a massive deficit and nearly bankrupted the country before it was reversed.

Bush Jr.s tax cut did bankrupt the country which now has to be nice to China lest the debt be forclosed.
