We all agree the border should have been shut down after 9-11, if not 30 years ago. Or 80 years ago. But it's a very long border and it's physically impossible to shut it down completely, same with Canada and our seacoasts. Where has Homeland Security been on border security? Geesh, you would have thought they wouldn't wait until an election season five years after 9-11. Read Joseph Wambaugh's LINES AND SHADOWS about the border. That was written 20+ years ago and the problem was just as bad then. A neverending battle you can never win.
