<The key problem is that through "civilization" we have separated ecosystems in disconnected chunks so it is difficult for those ecosystems and their plant and animal inhabitaans to migrate with the changing conditions, a problem exacerbated by the speed of the current changes which are occurring orders of magnitude faster than past climate changes.> So perhaps the earth is simply rectifying the situation... <Not to mention that as these changes really take hold the cost in human sufferring and death will be immeasurable.> People take these things too personally sometimes... if it saves the planet, then it's good, no? dAK
