AERTA's report is good. Looking for new highs today.

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. of Springdale reported $27.7 million in net sales for the quarter ended March 31, a 39 percent increase from the same time in 2005.

The company also reported $905,942 in net income, a 36 percent increase from the same quarter in 2005.

The thinly-traded company, with an average trading volume of 135,348 shares, doubled its earnings to 2 cents per share in the first quarter compared to 1 cent a year ago.

AERT will hold a conference call at 3 p.m. Central Daylight Time today to discuss earnings. The live webcast is available at www.aertinc.com.

AERT since 1989 has pioneered using recycled polyethylene plastic to make composite building materials, including its ChoiceDek composite outdoor decking and MoistureShield exterior trim.

AERT operates manufacturing and recycling facilities in Springdale, Lowell, Tontitown, Alexandria, La., and Junction, Texas.

Shares of AERT (NASDAQ: AERTA) closed Monday at $2.35, up 3 cents. In the past 52 weeks, the price ranged from a $2.56 high to a $1.19 low.
