you and Petz...

I'm beginning to wonder whether AMD is doomed to at least touch its 200 DMA which is about 29.5 and rising towards 30. I would imagine there's a pile of stop losses but also some GTC buys piled up at $30.

It wouldn't surprise me. It is also possible that AMD will get some press coverage when the new products are introduced in next 2 weeks and go back to 33-34 range.

To me it looks like the town’s people getting out of Deadwood before the 2 gunfighters start going at each other. No one wants to catch a stray bullet. Since no one knows what is going to happen the safest thing to do is to get out of AMD. Of course the corollary is, don't buy either AMD or INTC until the smoke clears and you can see whose left standing.

Trouble is that it may not turn out that way, say both run out of ammo before anyone gets killed. Most likely is that there will be no clear winner, say both get wounded slightly. In that case the town’s people stay away from both INTC and AMD and wait for a rematch.

In any case it's doubtful whether either stock is going up for awhile.
