Every western country is socialist including all our closest allies. When you bash socialism, you bash them. And look what deregulation of industry and privatization has brought us under Bush, massive corruption, trillions in new deficits and gouging gone wild. A trillion dollar ripoff.

Under Clinton, things were run much-much better, and we had a superior economy.

>>>It is against human nature as it sets up a system designed to coercively punish success and reward failure.<<<

But didn't human nature help to set this up?

I mean whatta ya wanna do, punish failure? You don't believe in "if you don't succeed the first time, try, try again?"

So whatta we got here in America today? 10 percent control 90 percent of the wealth or, looked at another way, one percent controlling 70 percent? I believe those are the stats. What kind of reward is this for the good of people. And government should indeed be for "the good of people."

I think if there's any true measure for rewarding it is the standard whereby one lives their life productively for one's self as well as for the good of others. I think you show up better at the Pearly Gates if this is so, rather than showing up with pockets laden in gold.

By the way, didn't they punish failure in the olden days? And I guess we've gotta ask: Are they doing it again?
