Do the aging polygamists accumulate so many wives because they want a newer model wife to ride in their new SUV? How low must be the wives' IQ?...sad gullible women. Ann, it's far more prosaic than that. At least wrt the FDLS polygamists, its' a system that allows them to participate in massive welfare fraud. With the exception of the first wife, who is married to the husband in the eyes of the state, each wife, and associated children are an opportunity to milk the welfare system for additional money. As with many things in life, it's mostly about money.
