I go through phases myself. Right now I'm transitioning between "Ilios" by Heinrich Schliemann (the discoverer of Ancient Troy), and "Guns of the Timberlands" by Louis L'Amour, and "Marley and Me," which is a memoir about a man's love affair with the world's worst dog.

Anything I could say about the Bible would surely be misunderstood by someone, so I demure. I think it does qualify as very fine poetry, no matter what your persuasion you can benefit from it.

I will read anything, even the label on a can of beans if there is nothing else (which I did while stationed here: firelookout.com )

The only reading I dislike is magazines like People, Us, etc. I think they are narcissistic abominations about narcissists.
