75% is still a lot more apart than nearly. Given 75% of top end overall performance, many budget solutions would go past this mark. +/-2% is more like nearly. Problem is under that rule, Core Duo T2600 doesn't come nearly to 939 A64 X2 4800+.

Beside if the benchmarks include AMD64 programs, Core Duo is infinitely behind in those. Both of the competitors can run them.
