I think some would debate that point. But the fact is that he won. We have a Hamiltonian system.

Fortunately for you there doesn't appear to be a modern day Hamilton around. As you must certainly know, the polulace at large were sympathetic to the rebels. Hamilton wrote an op-ed that explained to the people the necessity for enforcing the tax; resulting in an overwhelming number of citizens attempting to join the militia and suppress the rebellion.
