Rogue:

I'm no expert on Buffetous lingo, but don't see why he couldn't say he no longer owned the 130M ounces of silver IF all he did was use it to back the ETF (SLV). Presumably, if he did that, he would want everyone to know he no longer owned it. But, maybe what he DOES own is a gazillion shares of SLV - where he can sell his silver over time and without fanfare. How else could he have moved 130 Million ounces without collapsing the price? Once someone knew he was selling even 1 Million ounces the price would collapse. It seems logical to me that he brainstormed the idea of SLV and it is an instrument set up so that he can get out of it over time without destroying the price.

At least, without any better theory, that's mine and I'm sticking to it.
