ElM, materials are useful. But I prefer the future to the stone age [or industrial revolution].

I'm happy to leave sheep to eat grass, Aztecs to do quarrying and robots to make cars. All essential functions to be sure but not activities I choose to get involved in.

Sheep get a good life, suitable to their intellect. Aztecs do too, leaping naked around campfires chanting mystical incantations about gold and other found "wealth". Robots happily produce another Lexus, 24 hours a day.

I much prefer to think immaterial, or more accurately and unambiguously, aethereal.
