Listen to John Murtha about our military. He really cares about it. DOn't listen to the serial liars in the Rumsfeld spin room. Have have been caught lying so many times they have no credibility left. It's absolutely true Iraq is a mess and our troops there are exhausted. Our equipment is also in shambles and it will take years and years to repair the damage. CLinton left Bush with a very well prepared military and Bush misused and sbused it to the point where if we had to go to war someplace else in the world, we wouldn't have the troops or equipment. And notice Bush can only spare 6000 Guardsmen on the border. That's a measly amount. Why? Because they're all used up elsewhere. And this will really hurt morale and recruitment too. In fact, one good idea is to recruit illegals to keep other illegals out. Deputize them and make them earn their citizenship by serving in La Migra for five years. Why not? We already have 17,000 illegals in our military. and now they're recruiting criminals and insane people.
