Well I didn't mean to insult you. It was just a statistic I came across immediately after reading your post.

It shows your insensitivity to the topic...

But it seems you should compare the 2,443 deaths to something to determine if its high, low, or whatever. I'm no military historian, but I think 800 deaths per year in a military conflict is low based on historical standards (correct?).

Not to the ones who died, nor their families, nor the ones who are limbless for the rest of their lives, nor the ones who will live a lifetime of psychological torture, nor their broken families who will also, nor the 100K or so iraqis who have paid with their lives, nor the entire country who is in the midst of a tortured mess, etc...keep on dreaming your fantastic dreams of low casualties and collateral damage if it soothes you...
