McCarthy ruined thousands of innocent peoples' lives. What are you talking about? he used "communism" in the broadest sense, meaning anyone who had ever supported the rights of the workingclass, the right to unionize, the right to free speech, the right to play protest songs, the right to talk to Russians and try to work out differences, the right to criticize the government, the right to question nuclear bombs and the Cold War. Across the board, anyone who asked questions was branded a "communist" and McCarthy should be roasting in hell for it. BTW: Jesus Christ's main message to people was to give away their wealth to the poor and share with each other, to love each other and be tolerant peace-makers. That would make Jesus a communist too in McCarthy's demented brain.
