It's rather unlikely that one can persuade people who engage
in knee jerk criticism of the virtue of more critical analysis.

There is a level of discomfort resulting from a challenge to
knee jerk reactions. After all, the knee jerk reaction is
used in lieu of analysis.

It appears that you don't like "BDS" because it is a particular kind of label. However, there are all kinds of labels used to describe people and their POV's.

Ironically, I don't believe I've actually used the term "BDS" myself, as part of a discussion, as opposed to commenting on
it in the course of this particular exchange.

While there is truth in the notion that keeping discussion on some higher plane is more likely to be effective for persuasion purposes, I'm disinclined to demand sanitization of
every concept to favor a PC approach. Sometimes it's appropriate to be blunt. Blunt can also be effective.
