"You have no proof that idea forms exist in the aether."

I was using the term aether in the abstract. I thought that to be obvious but apparently not...sorry. We have been using several abstract terms such as 'time' that have no specific storage location.

"I might contend that it is far easier to understand the validity of self-awareness in dogs then it is to take the advanced course."

The locus of understanding, in this case is internal. The validation is by sharing with others who can validate the presence of self-awareness. Among human beings that is fairly universal and so constitutes as solid of evidence as one could hope for get(you may be one of the rare exceptions who only believes external proofs).

To prove a concept. I don't believe that one can prove a "concept". You can explain a concept, but to prove a concept is something quite different. This term you coin..."eternal-presence"

I explained the concept of eternal-presence in a way that defies contradiction. If you don't like the term 'proof,' so be it.

"...differentiate that from "the universe exists".

huh?
