Individual farmers, voluntarily sharing resources and buying power, able to opt out at any time they did not believe their interest was being served is not "collectivism."

Corporate farming is neither intrinsically good or bad. What counts in the end is the quality of the food and the integrity of the value they offer.

In this regards, I personally believe most of them have failed. Not from a profit basis but from an inferior product. As always, there are alternatives and it is interesting to see all the small farms with organic produce and livestock that are beginning to fill the shelves of even large supermarket chains.

As always, caveat emptor and the informed buyer is a wise buyer. Supply and demand rules the day.
