A very good article. Thanks.

One statistic I very recently heard was that the government currently pays American farmers NOT to grow on some 40 million acres of land in this country so I think this there a huge opportunity for farmers to grow feed, food and fuel.

I don't think it's in Cargill or ADM's interest to suggest that maybe farmers should do without subsidies, but I think this issue will rear its head before long.

It suddenly occurred to me that maybe the government would be smart to continue subsidies to farmers provided they grow corn or some other biomass suitable to ethanol production.

That would get the show underway.
