So, like self awareness, self evidence may be confirmed by the perspectives and evidence provided by others. The fact that there are values of good and bad is nearly universally confirmable by human beings.

So, if you are alone on an island you can no longer be self-aware? Cogito, ergo sum requires no outside confirmation.

"Or perhaps we could postulate that the sensations from the "leg" are real. They are just coming from a different dimension [time] where the leg exists. "

huh?

That was an easy one. I thought we were in full agreement on the basis for the validity of such a question.

Perhaps we should take an inventory of our agreements and see where we are. At least for the purposes of this discussion:

There are four known dimensions in the universe, each arbitrary in terms of their standards and measurement. Neither of us bothered by this arbitrary nature. We can arbitrarily pick a point and go in a direction infinitely. Each dimension has an infinite level of granularity.

Observation of an "object" is not necessary to show it's existance.

Your turn. Confirm or deny and then add.
