I have heard about people on the right and the left who don't post here because they enjoy verbal fisticuffs instead. Since I don't, they have to go elsewhere.

I've heard/read precisely the same. And each time I've left off a small, silent cheer.

I suspect that there is a corresponding link between the urge to choose up sides and fling poo at the Others, and the lack of a higher education.

I'd also guess that there is a disproportionately high number of advanced degrees amongst the regular posters on this thread.
