Texas - mostly flat, empty, full of forgotten farm towns or plastic suburban sprawl, cities have no character outside downtown Austin, and almost no one I ever met outside Texas thinks as highly of the place as Texans.

Hey, there you go again. I grew up in one of those "flat, empty" places. Couldn't wait to get away. Going to UT in Austin was like nirvana.
