Communism involves a repudiation of property rights. If the repudiation is voluntary its probably just a bad idea. If people are force in to it than it is not only a bad idea but also an injustice. You can't have communism on a national scale without forcing people in to it. I don't have a problem if some group wants to start a communal farm. But as much as McCarthy went to far, he wasn't going after people with communal farms, but people advocating communism for our country. Now its true people have a right to believe in evil ideas, but we should still recognize the ideas as evil.
