striking at INTC marketing would make sense. Excellent timing - analysts seem to be running scared right now amidst all the pent-up tension regarding Cointreau(Ross et al. vs. S&P, performance crown vs. average performance/ASP).

I particularly liked the guy accusing AMD for not slashing prices. Bad dog! ;-)

Well, they slashed in 2001, and things went down the drain. Different situation then.

There seems to be a lot of momentum building up, key issues being HT and the good old coprocessors. No idea which one is more important (gut feeling: plug-in stuff for graphics, Java, XML or the like could be a real killer).

Just my 2 cents...

BTW, I'm failing to understand why this Ross guy is complaining about Q1 inventories?! Just another case of MCD?

My opinion is that they would not have got lost in it, they would've been a part of each story, if they'd also been talking about their next generation at IDF time. And, being a 2007 part, they would've had far fewer worries about any Osbourne impact. Anyhow, water under the bridge now.
