Earlier announcement of K8L would have Osborned AMDs socket 939 production.

Nah, because the K8L was far enough out. Also, there's going to be large volumes of 939 parts for the rest of this year! So that doesn't work.

I, for one, am a participant in the Osborning.

I'm waiting for a Turion X2. I will compare it with a Core Duo before making my purchase.
