Ok, I call foul... You're honestly going to compare Babe Ruth to the current batch of CEO's w/a straight face? Point taken on the CEO's, but other than the financial media nobody knows who these guys are nor are they worshiped by little kids and the media in general. Not too often you get CEO endorsements on TV - happens but very rare. I can only think of 1 off hand. The culture surrounding Pro athletes in this country is like a microcosm of American culture in general these days - long on hype, short on substance. Golf and tennis still have many players who are class acts, but otherwise forget it. Even the olympics has pretty much lost my interest due to all the doping.
