Rice ignored the 8-6-01 memo just like Bush did. Rice was questioned about it during the 9-11 Commission hearings and had no response. She should have been fired right there for gross incompetence. But Bush promoted her instead. One more thing. Rice was scheduled to deliver a speech on 9-11 about the dangers facing our country. The speech did not even mention terrorism or Al Qaida. In fact Richard Clarke said she'd never even heard of Al Qaida. Some Security Advisor. She obviously got the job for other reasons than qualification or competence.
