But I suspect, from reading much of what you present, that it is simply your wish to assume a contrarian role. I don't discount anything credible, I challenge comments that are unsupported, and I challenge everything that is presented as credible to see if it will hold up under scrutiny. With regards to these threads, I view myself as 'the opposition' to any and all things oppressive, unjust, untrue, indecent, and corrupt... not with regards to the persons here; I try to direct my thoughts at the topics and content of discussion. The bar I set is high, so there is very little that rises to a level that can't be challenged. "By the way, do you also dissect rightwing threads?" I have challenged discussion on rightwing threads; in some cases I have been met with very hostile reactions and in some cases very reasonable. I am not omnipresent and this thread has been my primary venue for a while. Why do you ask?
