Actors including Sharon Stone, David Duchovny from the "X-Files," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" co-star Larry David and comedian Garry Shandling attended showing, where guests walked a green carpet instead of the traditional red.

Real bunch of eminent scientists there.

One event sponsor, Hewlett-Packard, brought guests from a nearby hotel in a vehicle powered by bio-fuel instead of gasoline.
Now this has always puzzled me. CO2 and H2O are both among the greenhouse gases this crowd loves to hate. And bio-fuels, while not petroleum distillation products, are STILL burned and produce H2O and CO2. So from a global warming perspective, why would they be any better than gasoline or diesel?

Can someone enlighten this poor dark mind? Or will producin that light mean yet more greenhouse gases? :-)
