It would help if politicians took a butterfly ballot approach to legislating, and included choices with some appeal across the spectrum. Instead we get:

"We're gonna ram this down your throats with our majority!"

"Oh no, you aren't! We'll jam that up!"

"You don't care about getting things done!"

"You just want to wreck the country and take care of your own!"

...and so on and so on.

Bankrupt and dysfunctional in my book.

But if you watch what they do, they just passed a tax cut for the middle, upper middle, and upper economic classes.

I'd say rather that they avoided a tax increase.
