well, would be nice sooner than later but I do not believe in doom for AMD just because k8l is not coming out this year...

Keep in mind that AMD once in the past had about 20% unit share of the CPU market, only to see it drop back close to 10% over the course of 2 years. The difference this time is that AMD is more competitive across the entire product range and is better accepted by customers. However, don't underestimate how important it has been for AMD to be seen as the performance champ during the last 12 months, and equally, how much Intel has been abused in the press as being in a muddle.

If Intel succeeds with NGA in clearly taking the performance lead (including thermal performance) then AMD common is dead money at best until K8L, or something else compelling comes along.

I got a $0.90 gain yesterday on my AMD short term trade, which gives me an effective share price of $37.85 on my AMD money. Not $42.70, but I'm not displeased with how AMD has treated me. I will continue to trade AMD, but I don't see much point in holding through the summer given the macro economic, geopolitical, and CPU market specific risks.
