No, I mean the mainland. The CITY of BELIZE is not only dangerous as you say, but a DUMP. But the countryside is entirely different. I have traversed the entire length of the country. Yes there is drug trafficing but it is TRANSHIPMENT ie going up that highway (forgot the name, to Mexico and beyond). There are military checkpoints all over the place to catch the smugglers. jdn
